Experienced Accountant
Location: Fonthill, ON, Canada (hybrid/remote options available)
Salary: $37.50 per hour.
Hours: Full-time or part-time (both available)*
*Usually higher hours during tax season – March and April
You will be responsible for:
- Review of personal and corporate tax returns
- Review of Compilation level working paper files
- Analyzing bookkeeping files for accuracy
- A modest amount of client contact is mostly related to obtaining needed information to perfect working paper files.
- Setting up new bookkeeping clients on cloud software including
- Providing support and technical expertise as an internal resource to staff who need training and review related to tax, bookkeeping, and accounting.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in a public accounting practice
- 5-10 years of work experience with Canadian Income Taxation and Compilation level engagements.
- Accounting degree or diploma preferred
- Other relevant degrees and designations will be considered.
- CPA designation is a strong asset but not a requirement
- More experienced applicants will also be considered for this role.
- Interest in working in a virtual cloud-based international team.
- A passion for learning new software and being tech-focussed.
- Ability to work across different cultural and language groups.
